The ex aequo network is a nationwide association composed of young lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and supporters from 16 to 30 years. Since its founding, April 5, 2003, the net ex aequo has developed a number of projects aimed at supporting youth lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT), thereby promoting a la carte leicester equality, security and dignity for all and everyone regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. Among our ongoing activities, it is worth highlighting the local youth groups working in various locations around the country, the LGBT Education Project, the Inclusion Project Awards Mean, Cycle LGBT Film, the Centre for Education and the regular a la carte leicester production a la carte leicester of teaching materials and information on sexual orientation and gender identity. For information on these and other projects, we invite all interested persons to visit our website or contact us. In our daily work, we found that an extremely high number of people are victims of discrimination and prejudice by asserting themselves or being perceived as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender. Are insulted, excluded, abused verbally or physically a la carte leicester pressured to hide or lie about a fundamental part of their identity. Especially in youth, so have particularly high risks of depression, low self-esteem, a la carte leicester substance abuse, self-harm, suicidal ideation and suicide attempt. Situations of homophobia, biphobia and transphobia in everyday life are characterized in several studies in recent years in Portugal and abroad, the references we will be happy to arrange. This problem can only be overcome by creating positive and inclusive environments in relation to LGBT people and a collective commitment a la carte leicester to initiatives of information and education for citizenship and human rights. Therefore, we encourage a la carte leicester and express our already supporting initiatives for educational, social a la carte leicester or cultural nature that, in the Azores, wish to support the LGBT population and fight the prejudice a la carte leicester that unfortunately continues to negatively characterize the day-to-day of so many young people. It is essential to contribute to public awareness on this issue and for the edification of concerted action to combat discrimination and call all the people and institutions to join in favor of equality. We are always available for any clarification or additional information. A hug, Directorate of network ex aequo November a la carte leicester 25, 2011
