It was a dark and wet July afternoon when we finally reached Bogense. The boat set off from Haderslev sometime after lunch, so it was a good distance up the day before the boat could finally rub the snout with the port. We were so thankful that we earlier in the week had reserved table at the Fish House in Bogense, so dinner was assured without us having to make us that much for eating it.
After waiting impatiently until it got late enough that we could hike the f y-minute walk to the restaurant, we went away. We came in through the port side, so we ended up in a farm that was surrounded by different types of buildings, all of which were intended big boy breakfast buffet hours as places to eat - there was a real building, where the kitchen and the bar was a conservatory where we had booked the table, two tents, and something which most of all looked like a shed. There was room for many people, and the place was also very visited this Saturday night. In the yard were the musicians by putting an - every Saturday big boy breakfast buffet hours the restaurant also serves music for "mature big boy breakfast buffet hours audiences". One gentleman and I fall enough just outside this category some years yet, but we took it as an experience, and songs like "Whiskey in the jar" and "All sailors big boy breakfast buffet hours are pleased girls" puts an atmospheric fixed for the evening, so it was excellent.
There is not much to say about the operation, most of all because big boy breakfast buffet hours the control is not part of the concept. When we arrived, we were a little unsure of where we should go take us and there was no one to ask. Eventually we found however our name on a table inside the conservatory, so we set out to right. We found out that drinks and dishes we would even pick up the bar (which opened out onto the courtyard). Here we also paid for the food, and so were the dishes handed. This is on plastic plates and plastic cups unless you ordered wine, then you got right glass. I ordered a bottle of water which we were given cooled in a real bottle with patentlåg. Quite dainty dish, although it is only water we are talking about. It then provides a little extra ambiance.
We observed how the staff bar dishes and pans over to one tent, and when the bell had gradually big boy breakfast buffet hours gone past the 18 o'clock (where fish buffet starts), we decided that we had waited big boy breakfast buffet hours long enough, grabbed our plastic plates and hurried over to view food depends.
My immediate impression was that the buffet looked very inviting. There were fish galore, of many different kinds, and it was just about to begin. First lap at a buffet is always the hardest - because you will of course ensure that as much of the good as possible! It was also here that we found napkins big boy breakfast buffet hours and flatware (cutlery correctly - not plastic!).
We had been given both a regular and a deep dish (both plastic) when fish buffet also included a soup. Let's start with the soup. It was a really good curry soup with shrimp and fresh vegetables. There were lots of filler present in the soup, and vegetables was still hard and fresh in taste - they were not gooey and mushy, as you can see in some places. Definitely a good eat. In addition, there were fresh baguettes, which also tasted good.
What additionally was a long list. There were both white bread and rye bread, potato salad and French fries, tuna salad and something I think was coleslaw, plain mixed salad, two kinds of salmon, fresh shrimp - both peeled and still be - crayfish claws, half eggs with shrimp, fish fillets with lemon slices and good remoulade, one warm dish with shrimp and a type of slaw, chicken nuggets and chicken skewers with rice.
We'll take a break. Phew, we were well fed - but there are still dishes I have not mentioned! Krebs Nails was exciting to try, since I have never tasted crayfish before. The taste was not bad, but the texture was a bit odd gritty. I was impressed that the place had both known fish dishes like tuna salad and fish fillets, but also a little more special dishes that you might not even get acquired in everyday life, such as crayfish claws. Fish fillets were good, remoulade big boy breakfast buffet hours almost better, salmon with poppy seeds, soft and lovely, but the prawns in raw food was not exactly my taste - I had really thought it was something noodle with shrimp, which I otherwise think would have been nice.
Another thing I find impressive is that after an hour of eating, came still new dishes on the table. The staff was great at taking rounds in the tent and remove empty dishes, fill up or put new in. After an hour was set a dish of fried squid rings, madtærte and flatfish catches up. Octopus did not taste like much (I pulled something out of the frying to taste right on it), but this is perhaps more octopus than cooking. Madtærten, very poor - the dough was not cooked through. Flatfish tails was alright, but I did not realize where
